When I woke up this morning the view from my bedroom window looked like this:

No snow during winter, but as soon as we decide that it is spring the good king of frost and snow comes to visit! :)Actually I love snow, so I'm not complaining *- the only problem is that I skipped work yesterday to enjoy the beautiful weather, and I really can't do it again today... But they say the cold weather will continue throughout Easter, so maybe I'll get another chance.

And also I have a piece of art over on the Silmarillion Writer's guild again! You can see it along with the other entries here. I do encourage you to go take a look, but just in case you are lazy here is the drawing I did**:

*Unless it makes me crash on my bike when I leave for work, in which case I shall rant it back to the Finmark where it came from!
** Just cause I'm really proud of it! :D

That's such a lovely, fairytale scene; wonderful to wake up to, though not so wonderful when you have to get through it. Hope the bike behaves!

I love your drawing again; you can see the pride and fierceness in them. Plus very cool hair! I've been dipping into that site when I get chance (you've got a lot to answer for;)) and there's some great stuff there, especially when people focus on the minor characters.

It is pretty isn't it? :) Luckily there was no hard snow or ice on the road so Miss von Backhaus could run as she likes. ;)

Thank you! I must confess to be very pleased with how it turned out. And I'm happy you think that they look proud and fierce! Yay!
I know the temptation of the Guild all too well... And I haven't found a cure yet. The Silm really abounds with minor characters where writers can play to their heart's content, because there is so little canon to disrupt their ideas. I love those stories too!

Are you really trying to find said cure? ;)

Damn - you have caught me out! :D It's more like I'm trying to find cures for RL interrupting me on the Guild!

Why didn't you tell me your lived in Hogsmeade? seriously though, that is a winter wonderland if I have ever seen one. You bike to work? Good luck with that.

The picture is just lovely. You have such a wonderful talent for creating a balanced composition through shading. Really nice. Plus, they are sexy. ;D

lol! I hadn't thought about it resembling Hogsmeade but now you mention it... It is very pretty , and I wish I was home to enjoy it! The bike-ride went well - I have a very determined bike who wouldn't let a little snow get in the way.

And thank you! I have been thinking a lot about composition lately, and also the different planes in a drawing (forground, middle and background), so I'm pleased you think this works. Also I'm glad you think they are sexy, because they really are, and I would have failed this drawing if that didn't shine through. :D

Oh, what a gorgeous scene! It looks like a Christmas card. Sorry you don't get to stay in and enjoy it from the comfort of your own home. Sirius orders you to stay upright on your bike!

It's so lovely! The snow from yesterday had melted, and I thought that was it, but lo! If I had stayed home I would have been down near those big trees where there is a lake that looks wonderful with the snow! (like I did yesterday, on the way to the library to pick up American Gods)

And if Sirius orders me, then I better ride safely. On the other hand... what would he do if I disobeyed him? hmmmm. ;)

Ooh, yay for American Gods! I hope you like it! I expect a post all about it. ;)

And if Sirius orders me, then I better ride safely. On the other hand... what would he do if I disobeyed him? hmmmm. ;)

He says you'd be a very naughty girl and he would have to punish you.

That is a wonderful photo--the composition is perfect.

I already told you how much I loved the picture "Captains of Doriath," but I don't think I told you yet how much I love one entitled "Wars." And, yes, the guys are very sexy in the first one. They really look like Sindar to me also. Both pictures really captured my imagination and took me right into that world.

Thank you so much! It's great to know that I have captured a sense of Middle Earth in these drawings - and that the captains are sexy! ;)

Oh, I LOVE the header you chose!! And I'm so pleased that you got the layout to work for you. Yay!! I'm glad my trial-and-error helped to speed up this process for you. The colors will be no trouble at all for you once you find a color wheel and get the codes. Then it's just cut-and-paste into the layout code.

*cheers* :D

Nice view from your window! I have got snow today :D
But It was so unexpected and with heavy wind in the region that some important electricity cables were broken and most of my city area is out of power O_o In fact only my little part of the city has got electricity. While the snow is almost go by now. It was heavy wind in the city area, not in the city though.

I saw your drawings at SWG, great job!@

Isn't this spring just really crazy? We are having below zero temperatures at night this week, something that hardly ever happened this winter...

Thank you! And B2MeM was great wasn't it? I was looking forward to reading people's reasons for reading and interpreting Tolkien!
