I became aware that I never posted the two last pieces I did for [livejournal.com profile] metamorfic_moon here on my own journal! So without further ado please find:

Title: Choir
Artist: [livejournal.com profile] hrymfaxe
Rating & Warnings: G and None
Prompt: Choir
Medium: Watercolour
Summary: After beating a retreat into the choir of a church Tonks and Remus disagree on their future strategy...
Artist's Notes: Two challenges here for me: the extreme perspective and creating texture and values with watercolour. This is not what I had decided on doing for this challenge, though it was an initial idea. But I fell ill and was unable to complete the other project. Thank merlin for back-up plans. ;)

Artist's Notes: Still playing with watercolours. And backgrounds. Please bear with me.

And I submitted a few of the latest art pieces I've done for this great idea:

It's a fest of sorts, where artist submit art as prompts for writers to write stories to and vice versa. :D So if you have a story or a drawing that you would like to see illustrated or ficcified get ye over there! I already see a few stories that are very inspiring.

Way back when I announced this meme, I promised [livejournal.com profile] shimotsuki a drawble.. I have been terribly lax about getting it done, and I'm really sorry about that! And I wish I could say I had done it now, but alas. However, I come bearing a different gift, because as I sat down yesterday to start the drawble she asked for, I suddenly remembered a scene from one of her fics that I have always wanted to do, and then the muse carried me away.

[personal profile] gilpin25 asked for Remus/Tonks and cloak. :D Again, this is perhaps not so imaginative a take on the prompts, but I hope you like it anyway, my dear! On a cold night, there is nothing like snuggling up and sharing his comfortable cloak, right?

And if you wonder why it has taken me quite some time to get this out here, I offer the excuse that I have been busy successfully selling myself on the job market, and can now quit my boring job as an accountant and take a step in a new direction in my working life that is imminently more exciting to me! :D

Now! Onto the last two drawbles. I have not forgotten you - rest assured. :D

The other day [personal profile] bratanimus mentioned an art meme to me, and suggested I could do it.. So when you have looked, you can either congratulate her or take it out of her hide. ;) I didn't think I would be doing it actually, but seeing as I have now spent the last two nights filling it out, it seems I was very, very wrong. ;) The outline is taken from here. There you can also find links to many, many other (and loads more fun) versions of the meme on dA.

Dear [personal profile] gilpin25, I hope you have a wonderful birthday and wish you many happy returns. :)
Remus was insistent that you should have a little present, so here he is to whisk you away!

Still playing around with that ink... Does anybody know of any how-to books on ink drawing, or tutorials on the internet? I'm sort of fumbling around in the dark, and though that is enjoyable, because the results are rather surprising, it would be nice to have some guidance! :)

Anyway -

I can't believe that your birthdays are the same day!! And that I somehow had the idea that I should make both of you a birthday present.. But you have both been instrumental in making me feel welcome in the lj-world, so perhaps it is rather fitting! :) Both drawings are inspired by stories you have written. I hope you have a wonderful day.

I recently went out to buy a fixative for my drawings, so the graphite won't smudge, once I have finished the image. (Of course I haven't used it yet on any of the drawings - there is always room for improvement.) While I was at the artshop (very dangerous place for someone like me) I noticed a display of inks... And I thought, "I think I will buy some of that too... And some brushes just for that, so I don't mix them with my watercolour-brushes..... And some special paper too!!" So, many art-supplies richer and quite some Kroner poorer, I went home. This morning I finally had a chance to test the ink as a drawing-medium. I almost didn't go to work, I was so excited about it - and I certainly scared my co-workers being far too happy, even if the jobs I was given today were extremely boring! If any of you know my previous work, you will no doubt have noticed that the amount of detail I put in the drawings is increasing at a very steep rate - and I am quite pleased with my progress with graphite. But I had begun to feel like I was loosing something, that you sometimes get from things being kept simple. I love to have flowing lines that move and make the object I am drawing moving. My precious Nerdanel drawing is an example of some of the early work, that I was beginning to miss. However I could feel that my new knowledge of how graphite could be used, wouldn't make it easy for me to go back. BUT it seems that ink will! Yay!! And it is a much, much faster medium to work with than graphite.. (also more unforgiving, but so far I can live with that). Below are some exercises I was doing to get a feel for the how the ink worked with me - and some of them turned out quite nice, if I do say so myself. ;)

Male torso. (Or did you already notice that? ;) )

Yyyyaaaaaayyyy, I 'm so pleased I bought that ink!!! ;) :D Off to draw some more - there are birthday presents to be finished.

Here is a piece for all those R/T fans out there. I guess it is a spoiler, so if you haven't read the book yet, and do not want to know anything about what happens at all, you might want to wait looking till after you have finished it! :)

So here it is:

I have given in to my other fandom, Harry Potter, and have entered the challenge over at [profile] metamorfic_moon
 - it is the last chance before the final book comes out after all! :) Here is my entry complete with titel and warning, for your wieving pleasure:

Title: First time
Artist: [personal profile] hrymfaxe
Rating & Warnings: R for nudity (though not frontal) and angst
Prompts: Messy/tidy
Medium: Graphite
Summary: For the first time after a full moon, Tonks goes to help Remus.
Artist's Notes: This is my first foray into the R/T-world as anything but a lurker. This is a drawing based on the word messy, though the connection may be a stretch... :)
