Oooohhhh, those frames or stills say so much. The hands, expressions, body language!

Thank you so much! :D I really loved drawing this and choosing how to express their feelings.

Oh, too bad I missed this earlier! (I didn’t follow the games properly.) While I particularly love the way you paint Remus face – such strength in his feautures – each picture is beautiful. I don’t always like pictures of parts of bodies, but here these all express emotion, and the whole with the evocative text, too, tells a both heartbreaking and elating story. (I hope my words make some sense. I should go to bed, but I just have to tell you that your painting has enthralled me.)

Oh I'm glad you found this now then, and left such a wonderful (and perfectly understandable :)) comment! Thank you.

While I did want to portray an intimate situation between these two, I also wasn't aiming for pointless nudity. I love how expressive bodies can be, and I wanted to tell the story through their gestures, and sparse dialogue. I'm so happy you find it both heartbreaking and elating. Angst is good, but the relief from it is even better.

Oh, I loved seeing this again. Their pain and hesitation comes through so well, and then that handclasp -- ahh. The final frame and words are especially powerful after the doubt and hurt that comes before.

And as always I am transfixed by the beauty and grace in your human forms.

Thank you so much for looking at again, and leaving me such a wonderful comment. I love hands as storytellers in images - they can express so much! And that handclasp is one of my personal favourites too. I'm glad that the story ends on a hopeful note, because I can't bear to leave the two of them in endless angst.

Don't think there is anything I can say that I already haven't. So just make art -- original or fanart -- all the time for us.

I am outraged! how did I miss such a great piece of art during the games?!!! i thought I had gone through it all and now I am upset that I didn't get to give this a 15 out of 10!!! right breathe, comment, this is so expressive and capturing just parts of the body is a lovely idea and the dialogue was the icing on a very wonderful cake.

I'm glad this post led you to the piece, and thank you for leaving such an enthousiastic comment and saying such awfully nice things about it. I'm glad the dialogue added to the whole thing, and that you liked the execution of the idea. :)
