This time for [livejournal.com profile] heartofoshun , who requested Beleg and gave me Tirion (a city) as a prompt. Now I'm notoriously good at avoiding drawing backgrounds, but here I could not find a way around it. All the same I'm afraid you get only the barest bones of one, Oshun! ;) Though I may want to revisit this one day and fill in the blanks...

I couldn't see Beleg happily lounging in the bars and cafes of Tirion, so here I have caught him as he is leaving post haste to the forests, and only reluctantly, though slightly bemused, agreed to be my model. :D

In RL news I had a rather horrible experience today which involved body parts that do not usually come up in polite conversation, which is of course why I bring it up here. ;)

I was riding my trusty bike (which turned out to not be so trusty afterall) up a hill at full speed trying to get there before I was cut off by a bus. So I'm standing up on the pedals with all my weight on the leg that is about to force the wheel around, when suddenly my pedal disappears under me making me crash down on the frame of the bike - pubis bone and surrounding flesh first... It's a wonder I managed to bring my feet down and brake by dragging them over the asphalt in true cartoon style. (and now I sort of understand why my foot has also started hurting). Anyway, half a minute later I'm standing bent over on the sidewalk, swearing as good as the best of the pirates and just wanting to curl up and die. My first thought is: I'll never have sex again! And then: I better not tell my boyfriend until I'm sure that's not true.... ;) I have spent the rest of the day walking like an old lady, slightly curled in on myself and wishing I wasn't wearing jeans..

"so here I have caught him as he is leaving post haste to the forests, and only reluctantly, though slightly bemused, agreed to be my model. :D" I agree, he does look reluctant or should I say "camera shy", but still gorgeous. Lurv your drawings.

Hehehe, yes camera shy indeed! :D And thank you so much - I'm glad he is still gorgeous. It would have been a shame if that had disappeared behind the other emotions. ;)

Thanks, Dawn F. shared it with me, it was created by Lady Aramel.

I just bought a book on drawing (silly I know). I used to draw mostly objects, views, but never people. :-(

Ah, I'll apply to Dawn then, so I can enjoy it all the time. :D

Oohh, a book on drawing! How is it? Everything can be learned you know, which I tell myself all the time, because I have much to learn still as well. :D

Ouch. Hope you're alright.

Lovely drawing, as usual. I especially like the outline of the city. Would you / have you ever done a more detailed picture of Tirion? I'd like to see that. :)

Thanks - I'm feeling much improved after a night of not moving around. :D

And thank you again. I haven't yet drawn Tirion no, but I think I would like to too. Backgrounds are certainly moving up on the list of things I need to do more - only I need to practise a lot! *glares at rules of perspective*

You know Mr Faxe, may be able to kiss and make it better. /inappropriate comments.

In other annoying comment news, way to draw a background! I do like the way the structure slips into the background. And Beleg is all muscley. Like that too.

Leaving you now.....

PS Glad to hear that you came out of a bus confrontation mostly whole, though.

LOL - I'll certainly air that idea for Mr Faxe. :D Who knows, it might just help and is certainly worth a try. ;) - and the bus totally overtook me while I was huffing on the sidewalk...

Thank you! I'm glad the vague background wasn't displeasing, because it caused me enough headache as it was. ;) And of course Beleg is all muscley what with all the running away from the city as fast as he can! LOL

Yay! I'm glad you like it - he is your! muse after all. ;) He felt the whole thing was a bit silly, hence the posture. I think he would rather I stalked him and drew him when he didn't know about it. :) Did he arrive safely? :)

I am much better thank you - though the bike-ride here was like poking at a bruise. And the foot is completely fine. :D

Woohoo, lovely bow d;-)
( And the rest :D )

I did that when I was younger, hun, and it hurts :(
My friend, ( climbing a tree ) slipped and slid down ( wearing a skirt ) and violently scraped down the bark with her groin. Her underwear ripped up, and apparently it was an utter mess, she was very torn up and could not walk for ages. ( She was about 12 then )

My bike pedal just gave way as I was pushing off and yep, bang, Ooooaaaww! Those sort of bikes are not female friendly :( ( or male I suppose, since it would likewise hurt )
Hugs.

Thank you! I'm not sure it's allowed to draw Beleg's bow anything other than woohoo-worthy! :D And I'm glad you like the rest of it as well.

The story of your friend has me crossing my legs and swearing never to climb a tree again! And bike frames were certainly not made for falling on, especially when they are between your legs.
*hugs back*

Beleg: do I really have to come close to *that* city?

Hrymfaxe: yes, please, it's for Oshun.

Beleg: Oshun, okay, how close?

Hrymfaxe: how close? In the city, playing with water in the fountain basin or you standing on the steps...

Beleg: *in* the city?

Hrymfaxe: yes.... pretty please?

Beleg: I will not enter the city!

Hrymfaxe: but but, how am I supposed to fulfill this request?

Beleg: well there is a hill, so I can technically stand in front of it.

Hrymfaxe: Ooo and of course you with your bow, looking all charismatic and..

Beleg groans...

As for the bike... I once had that happening too, but my pedal broke off.. Reading this I whinched because even though men and their crown jewels are in a lot of pain too, but oh my!

ROFLMAO!!! Yes! That is exactly how it went! Poor long-suffering Beleg. Good thing that he is such a nice man, even if very stubborn. :D:D I should do that one as a comic!

ETA: plus this way, it isn't really my fault if the city is this vague thing in the background - he wanted to go very far away from it! ;)

It is a painful area, man or woman.. But somehow it helps a bit to know that I am not the only one who has had this happen. And it seems the reproductive organs are still in order! LOL

Ouch!!!!

Sympathizes muchly: I remember an accident when I was a child which resulted in much the same problem ...

Makes one feel more understanding of the men who are much more likely to run into these kinds of accidents.

I hope you kicked the bike to pieces when you were able to stand again. ;-)

It's wonderful. (I can't believe I missed this yesterday--I did check into my LJ and scan my friends! Wouldn't you just know that I would miss something I was impatiently eagerly awaiting.) I just love it so much I cannot say. I adore the bow, of course, when I wrote about him in Valinor I had to write a re-creation of that famous bow into my story!

I really love the reluctance to hang about in Tirion. Not only is it a city, but as I wrote it at least, not at all one that he would be drawn to--much too much frippery and distance from real nature.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. The characterization is fantastic and so well done. The expression on his face and his body language just shouts at one! (Great body by the way.)

Now, the greedy part: Would you mind terribly if I included it in one of chapters of "Will Overruled by Fate." I would include a warning not to copy without permission and provide any and all links back to you that you would like?

Thank you again. I am absolutely delighted.

A big hard squeezing hug!

Wow! Thank you so much! I'm thrilled you like it, and even more that you want to use it. (Which of course you are more than welcome to do. If you do the warning and then just link back to my lj then all is fine with me.)

I cannot see Beleg without his bow, so of course I had to include it here as well - and he is a nature elf, if ever there was one, so I wasn't surprised when he didn't want to pose inside the city. And of course, having just read your story, we know that he is capable to navigate it and the people inside it too, he just prefers not to!

And then he surprised me by being all camera shy! He isn't one to draw attention to himself just for the sake of it... (But of course he is gorgeous so who wouldn't want to stare at him and draw him if they had the chance?)

I'm just so happy you like it - I'm grinning like a mad person! :D

*squeezes you back*

On your accident. I have done that twice and recovered both times. That is really horrible. I did in on a bicycle as an adult and I had done it earlier as a teenager climbing over a fence into a corral to get a horse, my foot slipped and there I was straddling the fence howling in pain. Needless to say there was no horseback riding that day. I was so angry with myself. Just wanted to turn the clock back a few minutes. Both times my pain went completely away in a couple of days. Hope it works the same way for you.

Yay! He was totally in a hurry but managed to stay still long enough for me to capture his likeness, I hope. ;) And his bow of course, is an obligatory part of the image.

I seem to be over the accident now, and thank you for your sympathy. ;) Instead I now have very sore muscles in my legs and shoulders because I agreed to let the boyfriend design a training programme for me at the fitness centre. *headdesk*
