Here is the Feanor and Fingolfin drawing again: much improved (thanks to the wonderful critique from people at Drawspace.com)! Plus: Fingolfin gets to actually be a part of the situation instead of being all embarrassed and hiding his face!

Yay! I'm glad you think so - it's the first Feanor ever!

Great,I just closed a tab where I wrote a whole response O_O Happens.

I really like Fëanor here,he looks powerful, angry and mighty. Both figures are in movement, not stiff which is also great.Nice idea what to do with a helmet (it it lying on a floor of falling down?). I feel their hands and feet are a bit too small, but you know that I almost never draw them so don't take it for real, just check.

What are you going to do with Fingolfin? He looks very rounded to me right now, quite feminine.I see you fixed his hips from the older image, still if he was mine I would angular him more, especially the thighs, even if he's got loose breeches on. But - this is your Fingolfin, not mine and you should draw him as you see him :)

Funny thing,he is scared, confused or surprised on your image, while I always see him cold and proud, not letting Fëanor know what he feels. But I've never thought till now that he would knew what a sword is and understand the danger, so he had to be scared! I must rethink my vision of that scene.

I haven't started my image yet, can you believe it!? And I just changed my mind what to draw O_o But it should be better and I've made a resolution which should help me to do what I what, but of this I write later, when the image will be ready. Not much time left.
Dawn,waaaaiiiiiit for meeee!

The helmet is falling down - Fëanor had it tucked under his arm and dropped it when reaching. Figolfin does need to become more angular.. My loose flowing style doesn't really work when drawing mighty elf-men! :) He is supposed to be less masculine than Fëanor, but I may have overdone it - will go back to check. Argh, feet and hands! Really I think I always do them too small.. (Or too big, when I try to correct it..)

Fingolfin is scared and surprised, bcs I felt that he would be. To the elves born and bred in Valinor physical violence or rather threat to their lives, and certainly if it comes from another elf was practically unknown. He never thought Fëanor would do such a thing (I know that Tolkien writes as though Fingolfin hardly reacts, but I thought that even if he doesn't speak, it doesn't mean he is not shocked that it could go so far)

Wow, you are calling it close with the deadline! But I'm sure you will be able to pull it off. I notice that you are practically an insomniac as it is! And now that will help you. :)
