HOLY SHIT I LOVE THIS CONCEPT. It took me a couple of seconds to realise what was going on. AWESOME. I love you. I really love you, okay? YAY FOR WATERCOLOUR. Sorry for sounding drunk, I'm just happy to see this. It's epic and clever and poignant, just like Castiel!

All I know about this show, I learned from people complaining on the internet -- but that's a gorgeous picture! Pretty pretty pretty, especially those wonderful wings.

*makes another note to see SPN if she ever gets the chance*

Thank you!

I'm obviously a lost cause when it comes to Supernatural, but I do encourage you to give it a chance! :) And thank you so much for taking your time to drop by to look at this and leave such a wonderful comment.

Well, I do keep thinking it looks exactly like my sort of show, and it's turned up enough times here and there that I seem to know more or less what it's all about; but I rarely sit down to watch TV and I don't know if it's on here anyway. One day, though! (Probably via DVD, I'm sure I can find some obsessed RL friends if I look hard enough.)

And icon credit for this and all my animated icons to [livejournal.com profile] gogollescent, she is wondrous and her crack is beyond compare. :'D

Yeah, I only just began watching it this December, so I spent quite a lot of happy time catching up to the current episodes. ;) Obsessed RL friends are the best!

HOT WINGS!

Are you happy with this? I hope you are because there are some really cool things going on here and it's just extremely smart, something I admire about your fanart (all your, art in fact.)

What I can't get over -- and I've already told you -- is the sense of physical movement invoked by this painting and that jumps off the paper more powerfully now that I see it in full color. The colors are great, by the way.

I'm listening to a tune on right now and the lyric is 'The only thing we share is the same sky' and it says for me the mood present in this: just a sense of looking and wondering for what comes next.

Keep up the hard work because I'm glad to see what you do, ♥.

One more time: Hot Wings!

YAY HOT WINGS! (and even more so now I gave that landscape some red colour ;))

I am happy, yes. There are always things that don't go exactly to plan, but overall this turned out much as I wanted it to. And thank you for calling it smart! I love that. (and since you know I like Magritte, it would not be hard to see how he influenced this - I can't take full credit!)

The movement is something I like a lot too! The stillnes of the background and the intent of the character. I'm glad the colour only worked to underscore that!

HOT WINGS!

So, I'm afraid I don't know anything at all about Supernatural, or who Castiel is -- but this is a wonderful piece of art. What really stands out to me is the color contrast, between the grayish tones of the real(?)/formerly real(?) world, and the vibrant orange of what merges into the wings. It looks desert-like? Or at least like nature, and not like a gray cityscape at all. I like his upturned hand, too; it makes him look like he's eager for something. And the billowing overcoat shows he's moving forward.

(Just what I need -- another show I probably ought to be watching! Heh.)

Yay! I love that you picked up on the contrast between the colours of the two landscapes. (and also that the red one looks desert-like!! At first it was very Japanese with soft pink tones, but that wasn't what I wanted. ;)) Also really pleased that you see movement in this - I always strive to not have things be too static...

Supernatural is a fun show! I'm sure you would get a kick out of all the meta stuff they do to poke fun at themselves and the (sometimes rabid) fandom. :D

ETA: Thank you for always stopping by to leave a comment! It means a lot. ♥

Well, of course your first piece had to be Castiel. He's just that awesome!

This is a gorgeous piece. I love the concept of the wings and the contrast between wet and dreary urban humanity and dry and vibrant rural nature.

Of course, I admit part of my love is that it's a watercolor - I've never gotten over my amazement at fanartists using watercolor and oil other paints.

IKR? How could it not be Castiel? :)

Thank you so much for your wonderful comment. I love that you mention the contrast between the two landscapes - they were fun to do.

I love watercolours, and I'm happy so many others appreciate them as well. There is something magical about them...

I don't really know who this is either (though obviously I've guessed he may have something to do with a programme you may have mentioned occasionally, lol), but I'm always in favour of a man in a swirling coat, and I love the movement you've captured there, the vibrancy of the glowing wings and the desert-like scene behind, and the contrast of the bleak, grey and upright cityscape. I also like the way he's looking up, as if on a quest and seeking out something or someone.

Lovely work!:D

Only occasionally? You are being very kind! LOL!

Swirling coats abound with this character (the fandom term for his way of moving is the "caswalk"), so I'm happy I caught that impression! And also that he seems like he is trying to find someone. You are always so good at picking up clues in my images, which makes it even more fun to do them.

Thank you so much for looking at this, even though it is outside your usual haunts. ♥

You're back! (Or are you still away and logged on somewhere?;)) I miss you, and your team misses you, lol.

I'm very taken with the term 'caswalk' as my nearest and dearest call me Kas. Must get a swirling coat... ;)
