pulped_fictions is a great community for original art and fiction, and this winter there will be a challenge for all you talented people out there. The Winterval runs from Dec 1st to March 7th, and includes lots of different challenges ranging from fiction over art and poetry, discussions and cheerleading. You decide your own level of commitment, and you play with a team of super-awesome creative people to earn points and win! I'm on the RED TEAM and we are going to pwn so hard at this.

It is a closed community so you need to join in order to join. :) Come and play, it's going to be lots of fun.

In other news, I'm going to Paris on Friday to meet up with Boyfriend Faxe for an extended weekend! OMG I can't wait to see him.

Nothing will go wrong :) And the weather seems quite as you'd like: here it's cold and windy, and they forecast snow tomorrow. Bet in Paris it's going to be mild, but still no heat n'stuff.

I am ridiculously excited! And I looked up Paris weather and it's going to be freezing cold with a possibility of snow. That is so awesome I can't even. I'm dying for some cold fresh air by now.

I hit my 50K last night, and I have two or three scenes left before it's "done." I didn't write my Big Bang characters; I had these characters I started for Piece by Piece, and I stranded them only 10K words in. But now that it's (nearly) over, I'm going back to my Big Bang, polishing and expanding it, and then looking for a place to submit in the New Year.

Oh that sounds awesome! How do you feel about editing? I always have trouble concentrating when I'm not in the purely creative fase anymore. ;)

BLERGH, editing! I don't mind the structural editing, where you figure out what you need to make the scene work, but the polishing is the worst, because I read the same sentence so many times I lose all sense of rhythm and pace. Oh well! C'est la vie!

Paris is only a five and a half hour flight from here, but I'm taking the long way via Tripoli, Libya, because it was half the price and only nearly twice the flying time. The good part is that I'll be flying during the night, so I arrive in Paris in the morning, only an hour after boyfriend Faxe. :) I seriously can't wait to see him. It's like having a little ball of happiness in my stomach.
